Violas as a String Quartet

Despite a hard freeze somehow my violas which look wiskered but could easily be considered a 'strung with gut' survived as a string quartet and greeted me with a late morning song.

thanks for visiting my blog, I can relate to the 'zen' idea about hand watering. It is not totally possible to handwater an acre of land in a desert, but hand watering what needs watering means I check the new plantings, look over the veggies, pull a weed (or twenty) and keep track of what is going on in my yard and garden.

I wish that I had some violas like these ... I love them. They are the last flowers to leave my garden. Now they are covered by too many layers of snow for my liking!
